The Arrow Trophy is a sailing regatta for 20 -25 Sunsail boats crewed by teams from independent schools – http://www.arrowtrophy.org.uk .
Cranleigh have entered a boat for the last 10 regattas with varying degrees of success, but the event is more about teamwork and having fun. The Arrow Trophy takes place in The Solent with boats being picked up from Port Solent near Portsmouth on the afternoon of Friday , September 30 and taken across to Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
Saturday October 1 consists of around five races, each about an hour long, around the cans in The Solent, followed by a Gala Dinner at the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club (great fun and lots of inter-school ribaldry).
Sunday is split into match racing for the top four boats from Saturday’s racing and fleet racing for the remainder, with a finish on Sunday afternoon and return to Port Solent. The cost is £220 per head which includes boat hire, insurance and racing costs and the Gala Dinner.
