The 23rd OC Invitation Golf Day was held at the school on 1 June, and despite poor weather the course was in good shape and held up well.
“The aim is to meet up, have fun and raise money for deserving school projects, which in this case was the War Memorial,” said organiser Peter Wylie-Harris. “Despite the weather there was a very good turn out, the condition of the course was good.
“There was champagne at the half way hut, an excellent lunch and a couple of bottles of Kummel, all of which ensured a most enjoyable and convivial day.”
Tony Mote won the morning competition with 37 points while the team competition was won by Peter Wylie-Harris, Tim Hill, Sarah Greenwood and David Willis.
The competition is open to all Old Cranleighans.
