We are pleased to announce that the OC Club at Thames Ditton has re-opened after the lockdown.
The club went into hibernation in March but the management, JJ and Georgie Griffin, and contributors from the OCHC and OCRFC worked hard in helping with providing help to the local
East Elmbridge Foodbank.
In late May, after consultation with Elmbridge Council, the club opened for takeaway food and alcohol for members only on weekends. Strict social distancing rules were implemented and the
large outdoor patio and grass helped make this a great success.
The closedown has also allowed for some much needed work to be done to the clubhouse, and there have been regular working parties provided by the constituent clubs.
It has been a difficult time for JJ and Georgie but they have remained upbeat and have worked hard with the local community to provide a service to those in needs and, more lately, to get the business back on its feet. We thank them and wish them every success for the next few months.
