Cranleigh School is widely known for its friendliness and sense of strong community. Parents of leavers often lament how much they miss the School and their Cranleigh friends once their child has left. With this in mind, the School has launched Cranleigh Friends to bring together current parents and parents of Old Cranleighans, former pupils and members of staff, as well as friends in the wider community, into one association. Please email Friends@cranleigh.org to join, or click here for more information.
Forthcoming Cranleigh Friends’ dates for your diaries are:
- Cranleigh Christmas Fair on 9th November – click here for details
- Concert by Kathryn Harries and OC Hilary Cronin on 29th November – click here for details
- A candlelit Carol Service in the Chapel for OCs and Friends on 8th December – click here for details
- A Medics and Healthcare Professionals Reception on 22nd January – email for details
- A spectacular Summer Ball on 30th May – tickets go on sale in January 2020
Seeking singers …
For the inaugural OC and Cranleigh Friends’ Christmas Carol Service on 8th December, they are putting together a ‘scratch’ choir of past Cranleigh musicians. Marcus Pashley, who retired as Director of Music this summer, has generously agreed to return to the School to rehearse and conduct the choir. If you were a member of the choir at Cranleigh and would like to re-live your school choral days by performing at this Carol Service, please get in touch [friends@cranleigh.org]! The choir will be needed for an afternoon’s rehearsal from 3pm on 8th December prior to the service starting at 6pm.
Summer Ball sponsorship
Cranleigh Friends are seeking sponsors for our spectacular Summer Ball on 30th May which we are holding in aid of the Cranleigh Foundation. Sponsorship opportunities range from a headline sponsor at £10,000, through main sponsors at £5,000 to supporters at £1,000. They are also looking for advertising in the programme. If you would like to promote your organisation to the Cranleigh-wide community, please get in touch with Belinda Graham-Rack bgr@cranleigh.org /01483 542264.
